you know i stopped even trying to keep up with e7ao a few weeks ago because… i dunno… there was nothing about the story that i found… particularly appealing? the reasons i adored the original eureka seven were a) the art style, b) the character designs and c) the mood/vibe of the series was just so friggin cool and i feel like ao doesn’t really replicate any of that

not that it has to, it’s its own story i get that

but yeah i think those were the elements that set eureka seven apart from the typical action romance mecha series and ao just didn’t carry them through which i found p disappointing
